GPT-3, the third-generation Generative Pre-trained Transformer, is a neural network machine learning model trained using internet data to generate text. More often than not, however, I found that the T(ransformer) in GPT means “Transform into bullshit”.
Recently, I put the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 through its paces trying to find out if it would be sufficient, to get students through my class. After spending considerable time with the laptop, including upgrading its hardware and software, I wrote a lengthy blog post about it.

Instead of the actual 4 GB, GPT-3 puts 16GB of RAM into the laptop and tells you that “The author notes that the laptop is capable of handling demanding tasks such as video editing and gaming,” while I wrote this in my review: “The Laptop is insufficient for almost any task,” didn’t mention gaming or video editing at all.
